These hammered disc earrings have facets that glint and reflect the light, rather like a 1970s disco ball but a little more subtle! They are made from tarnish resistant Argentium sterling silver - still 92.5% pure silver like regular sterling but with some germanium content to inhibit tarnish, meaning less polishing work for you. I first hammer the silver sheet all over to give the sparkly texture (this gets really loud), then anneal, cut and gently dome the discs to increase the reflection angles. The earrings are strong but lightweight, with polished edges. The discs in this listing are 7/8" (22mm) in diameter, but I have several other sizes in other listings. The discs are suspended from handmade Argentium sterling ear wires.

These earrings are eye catching but still fairly minimalist - a widely applicable gift suitable for friends, teachers, and anyone else whose tastes you aren't sure enough of to give something really out there!

The earrings will be supplied tissue wrapped in a Calico Metals branded gift box with information on the materials used. All other packaging materials are reused as much as possible.
